“I’m Laura, an artist and designer based in Arlington, VA, and owner of Laura King Paints. All of my products begin as original paintings, which I turn into stickers, greeting cards, art prints, and more. I love being outside in nature and I pull my inspiration from animals, bugs, and plants, including my favorite subject, bees! I also create custom pet portraits of dogs, cats, and reptiles.

While I love digital art, I’ve always loved painting. There’s something special about a physical one-of-a-kind piece. The textures and colors in a painting aren’t easily recreated in a digital space. I aim to bring the magic of a painting into each of my products.

I started this business by painting my friend’s pets and creating stickers of my art for fun. In 2018, I launched an Etsy shop and before I knew it, I was packing hundreds of orders and painting dogs and cats from all over the United States. Thank you for being here.
