I’m Colleen. A social worker turned stay at home mom. With my husband Tim and our 3 small kiddos, we live on our family’s farm in Central Illinois. After years of feeling guilty of the amount of waste our small family was creating, I began the great experiment of lowering our waste contribution. One of those experiments were beeswax food wraps. After perfecting a recipe and method, I began to sell to friends, family and at a local farmers market. With growth, I moved my business from my kitchen to my studio in a remodeled (and moved 3 miles) 100 year old shed. I love the versatility of the wraps. We use them for lunches, leftovers, and produce the most. We love our growing “fancy folk” family.

b.e.happe is a handmade shop started by Brooke Happe in 2016. After stepping away from her career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy to focus on motherhood, she taught herself to crochet and knit to keep her hands strong.
b.e.happe is more than just my name, it’s our way of life. In the summer of 2019 Brooke and her husband sold their home and everything they owned to travel the U.S. with their 3 children to grow b.e.happe and focus on time together.
With each purchase, a portion of the proceeds are used to donate “Wish List” items to children’s hospitals across the U.S. as the family travels.
